Summertime Love With Megan & Tyler

When it comes to weddings, every couple has their own unique rhythm. Some are packed to the brim with activities and events, while others leave a little more room to simply be present, soaking in the moment. Megan and Tyler’s wedding day fell beautifully into the latter category, and I can honestly say it might have been one of the most laid-back and relaxed weddings I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing.

From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and calm. You could sense that Megan and Tyler had been intentional about creating a day that truly reflected them as a couple—not rushed, not overwhelmed with back-to-back events, but instead filled with the freedom to simply enjoy each other and their loved ones. Their timeline was thoughtfully designed with plenty of wonderful little gaps that allowed them to take a breath, savor the moment, and actually enjoy the day they had worked so hard to plan.

It’s not every day that you see a couple taking the time to pause and enjoy themselves amidst the whirlwind of a wedding day, and that’s exactly what made Megan and Tyler’s celebration so special. Whether it was taking a quiet moment together before the ceremony, mingling with friends and family in a relaxed cocktail hour, or simply laughing together as they walked hand-in-hand from one part of the venue to another, every part of their day felt intentional. There was a wonderful balance between the excitement of the big moments and the quiet peace of the in-between ones.

As a photographer, these kinds of weddings are a dream to capture. The relaxed pace allowed for spontaneous moments and genuine smiles. It gave Megan and Tyler the opportunity to be fully present—not just with each other, but with their guests as well. They weren’t racing from one part of the day to the next, but instead truly living in each moment, surrounded by the people who mattered most to them.

So, if you’re planning your own wedding, take a page from Megan and Tyler’s book: leave some space in your schedule to just be. Those moments may just turn out to be the ones you cherish most.
